CTR Group Launches 'CTR Response' to Tackle Major & Complex Loss Events

CTR Group has officially launched CTR Response, a specialist division created to support businesses navigating the operational and financial impact of major and complex loss events.

The new division has been developed in response to growing demand from retailers, insurers and supply chain operators facing increasingly disruptive incidents — from fire and flood damage to large-scale returns surges and distressed inventory challenges. In many of these scenarios, the traditional approach has been reactive, often resulting in significant volumes of stock being written off with limited opportunity for recovery.

CTR Response takes a different approach.

Built on the Group’s established infrastructure across logistics, warehousing, reuse and recycling, the division is designed to step in quickly, stabilise situations and bring structure to what are often highly complex and time-critical environments. Once stock is secured and transported into CTR’s facilities, it undergoes detailed audit and triage, allowing items to be assessed, categorised and directed into the most appropriate outcome — whether that is reuse, resale, recycling or responsible disposal.

What sets CTR Response apart is its ability to go beyond recovery and focus on remonetisation. By leveraging established resale channels and material recovery processes, the division is able to unlock value from stock that might otherwise be considered a total loss. This not only improves financial outcomes for clients but also significantly reduces environmental impact.

The launch reflects a broader shift in how businesses are approaching loss events. Increasingly, there is recognition that recovery is not just about clearance — it is about control, compliance and value retention. With regulatory pressures rising and sustainability targets becoming more central to operations, organisations are seeking partners who can deliver all three.

CTR Response has been structured to meet that need, offering a fully integrated solution that aligns rapid incident response with commercial and environmental performance.

As CTR Group continues to expand its capabilities across the circular economy, the introduction of CTR Response marks another step forward — turning disruption into opportunity, and loss into measurable value.
